Workshop Care and technology; working from multiple perspectives
The research group IT-Innovations in Health Care at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and the University of Amsterdam organize a multidisciplinary workshop on care and technology, inviting researchers from different backgrounds.
Date: 24th of March, 12 – 16 (including lunch)
Place: Windesheim, Room X1.90, Campus 2-6, Zwolle
Visiting researchers: Niels Christian Nickelsen and Stine Rath Hansen (Danish School of Education, Aarhus University)
In this mix of academic researchers and a university of applied sciences, we offer you the chance to meet with people that align with your expertise, but also with people with different research backgrounds. Discussing your work in a multidisciplinary context gives you the opportunity to gain some fresh ideas on care and technology. There are two themes: Blended care[1] in mental health care and Technology for patients with a chronic disease. As this is a multidisciplinary session, we welcome all contributions. Issues of concern within these themes can be: good care in telecare practices, self-management through technology, participation of respondents in research, ethical concerns on data-use, entering the field, discussing research questions with clients or any other empirical and theoretical questions. We will form small groups within the two themes, in which you can discuss each other’s work, offering new ways of looking at the issues. If you are interested in joining, we would like you to do some preparation. Please write a very short paper (one page) on what questions you are answering on care and technology and for which a peer perspective can be helpful. Your paper contains a description of your questions and the way you have been dealing with it up till now, which theory or practicalities you have been using trying to solve it.
Registration and preparation
Please let us now if you want to join by sending an email to Annemarie at a.van.hout@windesheim.nl
In order to form groups and let all participants prepare by reading the work of their group members, we would like you to send in your paper by March 13th.
