Work Based Learning on Sustainable Use of Healthcare Technology

Samenvatting

Too often, the introduction of new technologies in healthcare practice ends in disappointment. Important reason for this is the lack of involvement of healthcare providers in the selection and implementation of the technology. In addition, substantial effort must be made to arrive at a well-considered implementation, deployment and evaluation of technology. This time is often lacking in organizations. At the same time, healthcare schools are looking for ways to teach their students about healthcare technology. We have developed a minor in which healthcare bachelor students have an active role in the implementation of healthcare technology in practice.
