The use of simulation technology in clinical internships

Preceptors’ changing roles and tasks

Samenvatting

Technology-Based Simulation Learning (TBSL), such as Virtual or Mixed Reality simulations, has been used in nursing education for almost ten years and is increasingly entering clinical practice. While learning benefits for students are well documented, it remains unclear what this development means for nurse preceptors. This gap is important, as the impact of TBSL during internships largely depends on how preceptors support learning and translate simulation experiences into practice. Attached are the Powerpoint of the oral presentation on the Supporting Health By Technology 15th International Conference, june 4-5 2026, the submission of the oral presentation and the Abstract Book of the conference.
